Ahhh...Chaos.

Well, we survived what can best be described as a chaotic weekend. We started it off by going back home and stopping at a "fairy princess" birthday party for our cousin's youngest daughter. Just imagine...eight very energetic, boisterous kids running like mad men (and women) around the house! Next day, Brent and Kelly went to a cousin's wedding. The wedding went very well, of course the bride was beautiful, and the flower girl stole the show! Where, you might ask, was Caleb? Well, he had the opportunity to go with Grandma 'Nita and Grandpa Bing to a picnic at the lake. He got to go on his first boat-ride around the lake. Judging from the pictures and video, he had a blast! I think Grandma and Grandpa had fun too! Day three found us going to church in the morning, attending a reception after church, putting Caleb down for a nap at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and going to yet another wedding reception. Considering we had to still drive all the way back here and pick the muttley up from a friend's house, we made it home after 10pm, got the munchkin to bed, unloaded and collapsed for the night, only to start the work week off at 5am the next morning. I think we're all still recouping from it all!

A wonderful Friday...

Well, Caleb's appointment went very well. He scored even higher on his hearing test, so he's well within the normal range now. He still has never had any ear infections, so we're happy about that! Our nieces and the grandmothers came up today and Caleb had an absolute blast, the entertainer as usual. I think Caleb gave everyone a run for their money!

I did say once a week...

So, since it's been requested that I give updates again, here I am...nothing is really news-worthy! We're trying to get Caleb to put on a bike helmet so he can ride in the bike trailer, but it's not going so well. He'll wear everyone else's helmets, and loves to wear hats, but won't wear the helmet that fits him. Oh well. He has a follow-up appointment for his ears later this week. I (Kelly) worked the weekend, and Brent got good daddy-time in with Caleb. That's about it!

Success!!

Well, it only took one more night of the swimming pool for Caleb to actually get into the water. Our neighbor girls came over as well, and Caleb thinks the world of them. Once they got into the pool, Caleb soon followed. He even was comfortable enough to start splashing in the water when he was in it. That's the news for now!

Joining the blogging craze...

So, I'm realizing that most of my friends are starting blogs. I was resisting the urge to join the craze until I came to the conclusion that it just may be the easiest way to keep people updated on the goings-on with the fam. My goal is to update at least once a week. We'll see how that goes, especially in a couple of months!

Updates for now...Caleb is growing by leaps and bounds! He is officially in his big-boy bed, new room, etc. We try to get into the kiddy-pool as often as possible. We tried a swimming pool tonight, but that's going to need some work. We were met with many, many screams and tears when we tried to go in! Ah...our time will come. Caleb is talking up a storm! He knows his colors, and recognizes a majority of the letters in the alphabet. He comes up with new sentences and things every day.

As for news with us as parents...we don't really have any! Ah, how our lives revolve around our kids! The pregnancy is going well. Baby-girl is kicking like a champ. (nope, not going to tell names!) We're holding off on doing anything with the nursery until Caleb has been in his new room for a while. I can post pics when I take them!
