Kids are confusing!

Well, you can definitely say today has been a long day, and it's not even 4pm! We were supposed to go to church this morning...and we almost made it there. But wait, let's back up to last night...Abby woke up twice, which she hardly ever does...drank a whole bottle each time, which she hardly ever does, and went back to sleep....then comes 5am. Yes, I said 5am! Caleb wakes up. Crazy! He usually doesn't get up that early! I told him he had to go back to sleep, and eventually he did. We got up to get ready for church. Then Caleb wakes up again and asks for his juice. He drinks it really fast and gets sick. We of course, assume it was because he drank his juice really fast because he's running around like a maniac (his usual morning self and wants food) and continue on to church. That is, until we got to the parking lot. Then I hear from the back seat "mommy hold you (means he wants to be held)." "Sit in lap." Then, whimpery crying and ..... you can guess the rest. So, we got into church, get cleaned up, turn around, and go back home. We get home, and we can't get Caleb to sit still at all....he's running around like a maniac again. Hence the confusion...if you don't' feel good....how can you possibly want to run around like that? Ugh!

On a better note...Abby had her 4 month check-up this week. She's weighing in at 16 pounds 6 ounces and is 25 1/2 inches long. We tried cereal today...

I didn't order any ice...

So I know I complain about the snow a lot, but I didn't mean for it to ice instead! Sheesh! See the picture? This is what happens when the city doesn't clean up the snow from the previous snowstorm well before the next one hits! It's solid ice! It's a couple of inches deep (I think we only got a quarter inch of ice though). The rain melted the snow enough to turn it to ice and the temps dropped.

Caleb has now started to draw "trains." I may be a little biased, but I think it's a pretty good job!

Hmmm....no news, really!

Well, I'm going to try to keep up with my goal of updating once a week. Not a whole lot going on here. It's snowing. Go figure.

I've included a picture of my favorite Valentine that I got (no offense to Brent!)

Caleb is drawing trucks now. Yes, by himself. No joke. Normally I do tend to exaggerate, but I really didn't help him at all, I promise! It actually has two circles for wheels and a top part. See the picture below! Caleb can also spell his name now. :) It helps to put it to the tune of B-I-N-G-O.

Abby is still growing like weed. She smiles all the time and is very chatty (you know...the cute baby-chat).

Oh, and this picture was just cute, so I had to post it!

That's about it!

It finally stopped!

Okay...so the snow has finally stopped for now...the official total for Madison was 13.3 inches. The I90 interstate is shut down....the westbound lanes are backed up from north of us all the way to the Rock County line. I think the news said it was a 19 MILE backup. The people in the cars have been stranded for over 9 hours now. We're in a snow emergency...so people aren't supposed to park on the streets until they are clear. One brilliant person has parked near our drive...which means we won't get cleared by the plow for a long time. The snow at the end of our drive (after having to use the snow blower) is as high as Brent's eyes. And the poor dog...well just look at the pictures. She was only out for about 15 minutes before she came back in. She is supposed to be a black dog.

SNOW

Alright...I know I like winter, but this is insane. I think we've only gone 2 days without snow! It's dumping a ton out there now. You know it's really bad when our dog (who LOVES the snow) begs to go outside, you open the door, and she has to get pushed out. Ugh!

Snow time!

It was finally warm enough to get the kids out in the snow!! Caleb had a blast. Abby didn't care to say out too long, but we did get some cute pictures anyway! We got another 2 inches today. Ugh! Yes, it's fun to play in, but I think I'm getting tired of it coming down!

Weird...he had so much stuff to dig in, and he still wanted his sandbox. I guess it can never be too cold for fun in the sand!
