The house saga continues....

Well, my hopes of our house problems clearing up in the new year have not come to fruition. Our fireplace is still not in working order. The fireplace company is blaming my contractor (and might I add, not being professional about it!). My contractor is most definitely NOT at fault (and has proved that). And, here we sit with a gorgeous fireplace that isn't functional. The fireplace company won't reinstall the electrical until they can figure out what is causing the condensation that is leading to water build-up. The only possible place for an air leak is the fireplace unit itself. My contractor happens to have a thermal imaging camera that can measure the temperature readings. Everything reads normal except for inside the unit and right in front of the unit. UGH! Oh, and on top of that, the van is back in the shop after I discovered oil on our garage floor. They think it's a leak in the crank-case. It won't cost us anything to fix since we just had the fan in to be services like 2 weeks ago. Frustrating. Just frustrating.
